WHAT "CHHA" IS ABOUT
Colonization has affected our wellness by inaccessibility to adequate health care. Wellness has become a classist commodity, a consumer-based mindset prioritized over the well-being of humans, animals, & environment. "Alternative" medicine is not taught, gate-kept, ostracized by modern communities, and portrayed as quackery. Holistic wellness is seen as separate care. Despite evidence-based studies and generational knowledge.
-
Our goal is to decolonize wellness; help teach others and give access to not only wellness but resources on how to decolonize your own wellness and practices. This is why having organic, ethically sourced products and our community outreach programs is so important to us. Providing access to wellness, herbs, and education to everyone.
-
We acknowledge that we work off the stolen land of The Piscataway Conoy Nation, and get resources from stolen land. The BIPOC community, LGBTQIA+, and underprivileged community are extremely important to us and we offer discounts for these communities to allow access and inclusion to those that would otherwise not be able to. See our subpage under “discount communities” to learn more about the discounts we offer.
-
We prioritize self-care, family, and community over consumption. We strive to build our own community through CHHA and allies. Not only for our own well-being but to strengthen our community.
-
We believe that Body, Mind, Emotional & Spiritual well-being are all connected. We nurture these aspects and want to help others learn about a multitude of healing modalities.
-
We strive to educate and provide resources to empower people and communities on how to take charge of you and your family’s health at home. How to break generational biases, traumas, and mundane practices.
